Thomas Charles Hazlett, 77, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at UAB Medical West Hospital in Bessemer, AL.
He was born June 13, 1947, a son of the late Norma Florence Hazlett. Thomas was a Lutheran by faith and a U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Veteran, serving during the VietNam War. He retired after many years from Pipefitter Local #83 in 2004.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dianna (Rine) Hazlett of Bessemer; two daughters, Kimberly (Paul) Riggle of Dallas Pike, WV and Lori Devenyns of Bessemer; his brother, Jerry (Roxanne) Hazlett of Cincinnati, OH and one grandson, Carter Thomas Devenyns of Bessemer.
Family and friends will be received Friday, December 27, 2024 from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling. Interment and military honors will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Helping Heroes in C/O www.tmcfunding.com.
