DONALD HINTON

Donald Lee "Don" Hinton, age 93, of Bethlehem, WV passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Wheeling Hospital Continuous Care Center.

He was born February 13, 1931 in Bridgeport, OH son of the late Thomas Gerald Hinton and Edna Louise (Bennett) Hinton.

Don graduated from Wheeling High School with the Class of 1949 as an athlete in football and his favorite sport of basketball. Don was an avid fan of the WVU Mountaineers, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He never hesitated to tell anyone that "they should fire the coach" when his team had an off game. His greatest joy though was being on the sidelines watching, cheering and coaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren as they played their respective sports.

Don was the former owner/operator of Central Window Cleaning, and a devoted member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Osiris Shriners of Wheeling, where he served as Captain of the Arab Patrol, a member of the Wheeling Scottish Rite, Ohio Lodge #1, Wheeling and the Wheeling Elks.
