JEFFEREY COFFIELD
Jefferey Thomas Coffield, of Benwood, WV, passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on October 5, 1969, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Jeff lived a life enriched by his love for family, nature, and various hobbies.
Jeff’s passionate interests included fishing, hunting, and spending time with his cherished animals. He was also fond of cooking and enjoyed playing golf. Known for his eclectic collection of various collectibles, Jeff found joy in treasures both big and small. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Proudly serving his country, Jeff was a dedicated member of the United States Marine Corps, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Victoria Sue (McCardle) Coffield, his grandmother Grace, and his dear in-laws Rick (Judy) Custer.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife, Crystal (Custer) Coffield, and his loving father, Thomas Coffield as well as his older sister, Tammy (Earl) Hercules and baby brother, Chad (Amanda) Coffield. His legacy continues through his six beloved children: Rob (Carrie) Downer, Zachary (Erica) Coffield, Tyler (Kayla Weatherholtz) Coffield, Austin (Tiffany) Coffield, Jarrett (Riley Diloretta) Coffield and Macenzie (Dawson Wear) Coffield and his beloved grandchildren, Hailey, Clayton, Vanessa, Kinsley, Wyatt, Sadie, Liam, Chloe and Callum, his in-laws, Vicki (Matt) Barry, Kim (Chet) Richmond, Rick (Heather) Custer and Dave (Christy) Barry as well as, a large host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation to honor Jeff’s life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel.
Jeff’s loving spirit and dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
