Mark E. Kinley passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2025 at the age of 70 after over a decade of serious physical disability in which he demonstrated strength and resilience.
He was predeceased by his wife, Fran, of 42 years, in 2021, and is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Aretz (Ian) and Jessica Kinley; three grandchildren, Morgan Aretz, Duke Aretz, and Leo Kinley; and his second wife, Joan Hatcher. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Kinley (Robin), and two sisters, Marta Contwor (Ed) and Lori Raymond (Ed), plus numerous cousins.
Mark was a successful trial attorney with Steptoe & Johnson, PLLC in the Wheeling, West Virginia, office for more than 15 years. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and his doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mark and his wife were involved in the community through St. Matthews's Episcopal Church. Mark served on the vestry, the finance committee, as an usher, in the food pantry, and in the kitchen preparing food for Shrove Tuesday and on spaghetti dinner night.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his much-beloved children and grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received from 4 P.M.to 8 P.M. on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the funeral home.
