Phyllis Jean Davis, 92, of Wheeling, West Virginia passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of family.
Born on July 20, 1932, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Phyllis was the third daughter of seven children of Emmo Paul Kuhn and Helen Coulter Kuhn.
For many years Phyllis worked in and around Wheeling Island where her warm smile and infectious sense of humor brightened the lives of all those she touched. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her family. They are forever grateful for the time God gave them together.
She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Virgina Kuhn, Nelson Kuhn, Martin Kuhn, Paul Kuhn, Edward Kuhn, and Dorothea Taylor.
Phyllis is survived by five children, Duke Davis (Connie) of Wheeling, WV, Debra Dvorcek of Talmo, GA, Jefferson Davis (Sonya) of Charlotte, NC, Mark Davis (Nicole) of Apex, NC and Jennie V Davis of Dunbar, WV; as well as five grandchildren, Joshua Dvorcek, Anthony Jacovetty (Martha), Darrah Foster, Trevor Davis (Anna), Amanda Davis, Gabriel D'Arata; and seven great- grandchildren, Eli & Henry Davis, Lincoln & Alvin Jacovetty, Vera & Vayda Foster and Odessa Bailey.
A visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, January 17th , at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Rd at Bethany Pike, Wheeling, WV 26003. A burial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 18th , at Greenwood Cemetery, 1526 National Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003.
