BARBARA OTTE-FOX
Born October 18, 1955, Barbara passed peacefully on January 9, 2025. A long battle with Alzheimers and her soul mate Mark and stepson Daniel by her side.
The daughter of William Otte and Betty Jean (Fox) Otte. Barbara was preceded by her parents, a brother Robert Otte and uncle Bruce Ferrol.
She is survived by her loving fiance and soul mate of many years, Mark L Evans, Sr., a brother Brian Otte of Boulder, Co, sister Bridget (Bob) Weir and her beloved aunt Mary Jane (Fox) Ferrol and numerous family and friends.
Barbara was a 1973 graduate of Central Catholic and West Virginia University, where she earned her Dr. of Audiology and dedicated her life to caring for others. Throughout her adult life she was very active in womens rights movements seeking justice and equality for women.
Barbara donated her remains to West Virginia University Medical Research Department in hopes, even in death of healing others.
At Barbara’s request there will be no services at this time. Special thank you to Good Shepherd Nursing Home Staff for their very special care and Altmeyer Funeral Home.
