DAVID McNABB SR.

He was born September 15, 1938, son of the late Edward and Beuna VanDyne McNabb.

David was a retired auto mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran. He served two years in Germany with the U.S. Army 35th Battalion 4th Armored Division. He was the past president of Valley Grove Lions Club and a member of the American Legion Post 1.

David always enjoyed hunting with his sons, going to sport games with his grandchildren, camping, attending Army reunions and watching dirt track races.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Mae “Maggie” Sheller McNabb; son, John Stollar McNabb; and a sister, Mary Whipkey.

He is survived by his sons, David (Brenda) McNabb and Daniel (Ann) McNabb, both of Valley Grove, WV; four grandchildren, Kyle, Dillon, Kristie and Dustine; three great-grandchildren, Blayke, Oaklynn and Corbin; a sister, Evelyn McNabb; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Logan Ramsey officiating at Dallas Pike Baptist Church, 4069 Dallas Pike, Triadelphia, WV 26059 (304-547-0082). A luncheon will be held at the church after the service.
