MARY LEVITT

She was born on July 17, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA and celebrated a second birthday on August 11, 1955 when she was welcomed into the loving arms of Edward and Mary Lee Berardi, of Glen Dale, WV, as their adopted daughter. Joan could not have received a better deal and she never forgot that.

She graduated in 1973 from John Marshall High School. She worked at Bobbie Brooks Sewing Plant, Value City Department Store, and TJ Maxx.

When she was not working she enjoyed baking, sewing, bus trips with friends, gardening, and watching grandchildren. Vacations were almost always to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Lee Berardi.

Joan is survived by her husband, Ashley Levitt; her sons, Justin Clovis (Carrie Bragg), Joe Clovis (Kim), Shane Levitt (Janet); her daughter, Abby Clovis; and her eight grandchildren, Josh and Jacob Posker, Althea and Rhett Clovis, Landen Smetz (father, Matt), Fiona Levitt, Brody Turkley (father, Kyle) and Jace Clovis; her brother, Ed Berardi (Brenda); sister-in-law, Demaris LeBlanc (Dick); and her cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. They will all remember Joan with fondness.

Friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 3-5pm, at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311).
