MICHAEL FUNKA
Michael William Funka, 22, of West Alexander, PA, lost his courageous battle with cancer, Wednesday, February 13, 2025 with his family by his side.
He was born February 10, 2003 in Wheeling, WV, the son of Michael D. and Elizabeth (Yurko) Funka. Michael was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the NRA. He was a senior at Marietta College, studying marketing and entrepreneurship and played on the Rainbow Six Siege E-Sports team. In his free time, Michael enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, shooting and working on various vehicles especially his diesel pick-up.
Michael is preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Claire Funka, as well as many relatives and close friends.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 4-8 pm and Monday, February 17 from 12 pm until time of services at 2:30 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff St., with Fr. Lusius officiating.
