ROBERT MARSH SR.
Robert George Marsh Sr. (“Bob Marsh”) of Moundsville, WV, passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, February 3, 2025. Born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and married to Mary Marsh for 62 years, Bob was a beloved husband, dedicated father, caring grandfather, supportive friend, and strong leader.
Bob was the founder and owner of Marbo Construction for decades and served as the President of the Moundsville Country Club for 15 years. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Through his work and philanthropy, he built many strong relationships and made a positive impact on countless people in the Ohio Valley and larger West Virginia community.
He loved nothing more than spending time with his loving wife, Mary, and his family, playing golf with friends, and moving dirt with his construction equipment. Bob will be remembered for his strong principles, solid work ethic, great sense of humor, and dedication as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. As a founding member of a large branch of his family’s larger tree, the roots that Bob laid down, the impact he made on others, and the legacy he created will continue to live on through his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and children Robert, Maria and Ben, and their families, including his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private ceremony was held on Monday, February 10.
