Charles Everette Dague, 86, of Valley Grove, WV passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
He was born in Wheeling on October 20, 1938, son of the late Everett and Lala Dale (Doman) Dague.
Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and retired as a chief warrant officer. He was a member of the West Liberty Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the West Alexander Presbyterian Church, a farmer and worked at Oglebay Park after retirement from the Army. He enjoyed hunting, bird-watching and working jigsaw puzzles, but he was most passionate about doting on his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae (Horr) Dague; sister, Louise Virginia Dague Turner; and granddaughter, Hope Dague.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth Dague of Wheeling, Donald (Sheryl) Dague of New Eagle, PA, Joseph (Betty) Dague of Washington, PA; brother, Albert (Beatrice) Dague; grandchildren, Lily Mae Dague, Grace (Josh) Dague Thomas, Shelby (Caleb) Harrington, Tyler Dague, Austin Dague, Kolton Dague; great- grandchildren, Silas and Judah Harrington.
Friends will be received on Tuesday March 11, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242- 2311), where services will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow the service in Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas, WV.
