GEORGE HEINZMAN
George A. Heinzman, 91, of New Martinsville, WV was reunited with his loving bride, Flora (Kelley) Heinzman on Friday, March 14, 2025 while in Zephyrhills, FL.
George was born September 27, 1933, in New Martinsville, WV son of the late John E. and Martha (Bartrug) Heinzman.
He was a retired foreman for the former Consolidated Coal and a U.S. Army veteran. George was very civic minded: member of the American Legion Marne Post #28, lifetime member of the Sistersville VFW Post #6327, Moose Lodge #931, Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows Magnolia Lodge #42, a 4-H leader, board member for Town & Country Days, lifetime member of the New Martinsville Fire Department with over fifty years of service and one of the founding members of the Wild Turkey Federation-Wetzel County Chapter. George was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Martinsville.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Grace Ice, Pearl Ramsire, Cloy McCardle and Bertha Workman; two brothers, Howard Heinzman and Peter Fredrick Heinzman and two sons-in-law, Jim Richmond and Brent Blake.
Surviving are his three sons, G. “Eddie” (Beth Ann) Heinzman of New Martinsville, WV, David “Jed” L. (Anne) Heinzman of Brownsville, OH and Terry (Daphne) Heinzman of Paden City, WV; three daughters, Karen Richmond of Proctor, WV, Arlene (Ted) Stapleton and Charlene Heinzman both of New Martinsville, WV; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Johnny) Jones, Bill (Alison) Ferrell, Hannah Owens, Tiffany (Steve) Frame, Lee Anne Picklesimer, Hilary (Adam) Rockhold, Ryan (Amy) Blake, Mathew Heinzman and Jennifer (Grant) Throckmorton; three step grandchildren, Becky, Melissa and Jamie; fourteen great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren and serval nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 4-8 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2025 at Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church, 841 Fourth St., New Martinsville, WV. Burial service to follow in Northview Cemetery with full military rites.
