PAUL RUSSELL JR.

He was born May 7, 1949 in Wheeling, WV; the son of the late Paul W. Russell, Sr. and Vera Braun Russell.

He retired from the East Ohio Regional Waste Water Authority; served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War; attended Truimph of the Cross Church in Steubenville; a member of the Brilliant American Legion Post 573; enjoyed camping and sitting by a fire pit; and loved spending time with his German Shepherd, Lady.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Pete Russell; and two uncles, Paul and Melvin Braun.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Lou Dobbs Russell; three children, Paul W. (Crissy) Russell III, Robin (Mike) Harvey, and Matthew (Heather) Russell; one brother, Dennis Russell; one sister, Judy Runyan; seven grandchildren, Kyle (Liz) Russell, Genna Russell, Josi (Greg) Snider, Emily Harvey, Kayla Singleton, Paige (Russell) Diala, and Ashton Walters; four great-grandchildren, Andrea, Arya, Paisley, and Ryland; a niece, Debra (Ron) Marthaler, and several additional nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, WV.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 415 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio with Fr. Nicholas Ginnetti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV; where the Brilliant American Legion Post 573 will perform Military graveside services.
