Ralph James "Jim" Staub, 90, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at his home.
He was born July 13, 1934, in Wheeling, son of the late Ralph E. and Lillian A. Hahn Staub.
Jim was retired from Columbia Gas Company (later known as Mountaineer Gas Company) and from Orkin Pest Control. A Methodist by faith, Jim graduated from Wheeling High School in 1952 and attended West Liberty State College. He was a United States Army veteran and served at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Arlene K. Staub in 2000.
Jim is survived by his children, Brent Staub and Janet (Wes) Cross; two grandsons, Kevin (Lauren) Staub and Corey (Shila) Staub; great-granddaughter, Lily Staub, all of Wheeling; two sisters, Beverly Ney of Martinsburg, WV and Marjorie Rice of Goose Creek, WV; brother, Rev. Robert Staub of New Cumberland, WV; several nieces and nephews; and his granddog, Delilah, who loved him dearly.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 PM with Pastor Debra Dague officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311). The Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will perform military honors.
Entombment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens will be held at the convenience of the family.
