Robert Mease Sr., 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on March 6, 2025, WVU Medicine-Wheeling in Wheeling, W.Va.
Born on June 10, 1938, in McMechen, West Virginia, son of the late Treadwell and Lillian Marie Lohr Mease.
Robert dedicated many years of his life to his work at Ormet, where he served diligently in the lab. In his earlier years, he was a ham operator with the handle 'Whiskey' His commitment and strong work ethic were evident to all who knew him.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed fishing and for the last 25 years, he enjoyed all things related to computers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mabel Kissel, and grandchildren; Allison Mease, Eli Grant and Alexis Grant.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Victoria J. Hood Mease, and his four sons; Mark (Laura) Mease of Canton, Ohio, Dave (Cindy) Mease of Elyria, Ohio, Robert Mease Jr, of Proctor West Virginia, and Doug (Jessica) Mease of Glen Dale, West Virginia, sister; June Williamson of Florida, stepchildren; Renee Bodiford of Tampa, Florida, Kevin (Marnie) Yensen of Flushing, Ohio, and Sonja (Dan) Grant of Belmont Ohio, as well as 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
His presence will be deeply missed by family and friends who knew him as a humble and hard-working man.
Family and friends are invited to gather at CARE Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville on Saturday March 22, from 9:30am until time of remembrance at 10:30am. Private inurnment will take place at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery.
