AUDREY CIRIPOMPA
In her 101st year, the matriarch of our extended family, Audrey E. Ciripompa, joined her departed loved ones on Friday, April 11, 2025.
Audrey was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy (1942) and the Elliott School of Business. She was a secretary/office manager for L.W. Franzheim, Architect, for over fifty years until his death in 2017.
She was predeceased by parents, John E. and Genevieve (Neidert) Hazzard; husband, Jess A. Ciripompa; daughter, Carol Marie (1950); siblings, Gilbert F., Vernon A. (Helen) and Marion Howley (James, Jr.); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Janet (Ciripompa) Grubler (Wm. “Rusty”) and A. Christine (Ciripompa) Rine (Larry); grandsons, Kirk S. Grubler and Corey M. Grubler (Ashley); granddaughter, Alexandra C. Rine (Michael Mitchell); great-granddaughters, Sydney Renee Grubler and Avery Mae Grubler; her extended family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 3:30-7:00 PM with vigil service at 6:30 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV 26003. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. To celebrate her life and love of fashion, we will be wearing, not black, but “our brightest and our best.”
