CLARA FLETCHER
Fletcher, Clara Rose Dangel, 81, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Continuous Care Center, Wheeling Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1943, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Paul David and Carolyn Merschrod Dangel.
Clara retired after 49 years as a ward clerk in the emergency room at Ohio Valley Medical Center where she was known to answer the phone as Emstar, Mrs. Fletcher. When she retired, she was the longest employee at OVMC. She was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Lontz; and brother, John G. Dangel, Sr.
Clara is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ronald B. Fletcher; several nieces & nephews; and many great-nieces & great-nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) where services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Debra Dague officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
