JAY JEFFERS
Jay G. Jeffers, age 74, of Wheeling, WV formerly of Moundsville, WV passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 at his home.
He was born July 16, 1950 in Glen Dale, WV the son of the late Charles and Hazel Baker Jeffers. He retired from Consol Energy, after retiring he took on a part time job at Lowe’s, a job he thoroughly enjoyed; and was a Baptist by Faith. Jay was a proud member of EEDA and a dedicated WVU Mountaineer fan; a bicycling enthusiast, an avid hunter and fisherman; enjoyed playing basketball and running in marathons, having ran and completed the Pittsburgh Marathon; he loved to spend time at his camp out Fish Crick but most of all he loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Tod Jeffers.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen Jeffers; three daughters, Jamie (Dan) Eller of Shadyside, OH, Jennifer Gregan of Pittsburgh, PA; and Jessica Bolognia of Avon Lake, OH; a brother, Ross “Toby” (Kathleen) Jeffers of Beaver, PA; a sister, Marla Rogerson of Lake Arrowhead, CA; eight grandchildren, Joshua Jay Eneix, Jacey Ann (Dustin) Shough, Jacob Alec Gregan, Jonna Lynn Eneix, Haylee Kathleen Gregan, Alexandria Kay Gregan, Jackson Baker Bolognia and Evangeline Claire Bolognia; an expected great grandchild whom he would have loved dearly; several nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Max and Lola.
Family will receive friends on Friday, April 18 from 1pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 4pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling with Pastor Mike Eskridge officiating.
