He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mona Woods of Moundsville, WV; paternal grandparents, Charles and Adeline Woods of Triadelphia, WV; maternal grandparents, Virginia (Chief) Smith and Robert White, both of Moundsville, WV; his brothers, Charles Woods, Jr of Topeka, KS, James Woods of Moundsville, and John (Frances) Woods, Sr, of Moundsville; his two sons, Roger Alan Woods, Jr. and Alan Benjamin Woods.

Surviving are his beloved and dedicated fiance, Paula Green, of Wheeling; his two daughters, Marsha Woods, of Wheeling and Tina (Ryan) Woods, of Wheeling; two grandchildren, Matthew Horr and Jaantja Freeman, of Wheeling, WV; siblings, Joe (Hal) Stern, of Orlando, FL, Shelia (David) Wood, of Waynesburg, PA, Sue (John) Black, of Jefferson, PA, Paul (April) Woods, of Moundsville, Lori Woods, of Moundsville, Juanita Lord, of Jamestown, NY, and David Woods, of Moundsville; and amazing friends, Momma and John.

A celebration of his life will be convened at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311), on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 4pm until the time of service at 5:30pm to commemorate his life.
