WILLIAM “BILL” CALVERT

He was born in Wheeling on June 11, 1958, son of the late Donald and Ruth (Gramlich) Calvert.

Bill retired from Consolidated Coal after 28 years. He enjoyed his motor home and traveling the county but also enjoyed his Florida home. He loved Fishing, hunting, boating, The Steelers and WVU sports, however his most cherished times was with his family and friends. He was a member of the Iola Club, Cave Club, EG Eagles, and greatly contributed to the continued success of these establishments.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Calvert.

Bill is survived by his wife of 34 years Deborah (Taylor) Calvert; daughters, Shauna Hickey, Cassandra (Evan) Gorman; grandchildren, Bailey Angius, Mackenzi Garner, Cecelia “Sidney” Gorman; brother, Brian Keith (Tori) Calvert; sister, Donna Morris and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday April 29, 2025 from 5 – 8 pm and again on Wednesday April 30, 2025 from 11 am until the time of service at 12 noon at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).

Interment will follow in Park View Memorial Gardens.
