ELIZABETH HOFFMAN

Elizabeth “Betty” was the daughter of Charles W. and Margaret Long Givens.

Betty was a long-time resident of Brooke County in West Virginia. In 2015 she moved to Blue Creek, OH to live with her eldest son Ellis “Lee” Patterson.

Preceding her in death were both of her parents, her first husband Eugene D. Patterson; second husband (and the love of her life) Lawrence Hoffman; sons Ellis “Lee” Patterson, Vernon Patterson; and Richard “Dick” Patterson. Sisters Goldie Grizzle, Rose Persinger, Patricia Jeffries; and brothers Don Patterson and Henry Patterson. Betty has surviving, two daughters in laws; Jane (Hale) Patterson and Judy (Whitmire) Patterson. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV with Russ Archey officiating.

Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
