GLEN WENDT

He was born May 22, 1934 in Cameron, WV son of the late Arthur and Mary Earnest Wendt.

A member of the Big Run Christian Church for 82 years. Retired Engineer from WTAE Television in Pittsburgh, Pa. for over 20 years of service. Kermit, was a husband, dad, brother, uncle, grandfather and a friend to everyone. He was the Valedictorian of his class from Cameron High School.

Preceded in death by his parents, and first wife, Eldora Woodruff Wendt.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn Mercer Wood Wendt, one daughter, Marilyn (Louis) Horacek of Moundsville, WV, one son, Donald R. Wendt of Somerset, Pa.,one sister, Mary Evelyn (Paul) Garey and one brother, Charles (Daisy) Wendt all of Moundsville, WV, two step daughters, Cheryl (David) Schefsky and Lisa (Mathew) Garrison; two step sons, Donald Wood Jr. all of Moundsville, W.V. and Raymond Joseph (Dawna) Wood of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; three grandchildren, Libby and Caroline Horacek and Samantha (Albert) Wilson; seven step grandchildren, Donald lll, Amber “Dre”, Keith, Kyle (Erin), Alex (Jackie), Tyler, and Trevor; numerous great nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws and some cousins.

Family will receive friends Monday May 26, 2025 from 3:30 p.m. till 7 at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 Second St., Moundsville, WV, and Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the Big Run Christian Church, Cameron, WV, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Earl Shaw officiating. Interment at Big Run Cemetery immediately after.
