MAXWELL A.C. “MAX” MICHAUD

Maxwell A.C. “Max” Michaud, who touched the lives of many with his kindness and creativity, went to be with his Lord on April 26, 2025, at the age of 47 in Wheeling, WV. Born on October 12, 1977, in Milwaukee, WI, Max approached life with a spirit that inspired everyone around him.

A dedicated food service worker, for many years Max lent his talents to Wheeling Country Club, where his diligence and warm demeanor left a lasting impact on colleagues and patrons alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Max led a life rich with diverse interests and passions.

Max possessed an unquenchable love for the theater. In his younger years, he frequently performed in productions that allowed him to express his vibrant creativity. He was known among family and friends as the best “gift giver,” choosing gifts with extraordinary thoughtfulness and crafting personalized greeting cards that brought smiles to those who received them.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Max was devoted to making a difference in his community. He volunteered his time at Meals on Wheels and the Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center in Wheeling, embodying the true spirit of service and compassion. His passion for music was evident in his impressive collection of CDs and vinyl records, and he cherished moments spent reading, fishing or leisurely driving around Wheeling, finding peace amid life’s bustle.

Max was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was proud to be part of Phi Theta Kappa, the preeminent honor society for students at two-year colleges. He earned two Associates Degrees from WVNCC, one in Arts and one in Science, a Bachelor of Arts from West Liberty University, and completed more than half of a Masters in Social Work from WVU.

Max is now reunited in eternal rest with his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Alma Michaud; maternal grandfather, George Milligan; step-grand father, Baxter F. Ball; and maternal great-grand mother, Amy Milligan.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his parents, Drs. Thomas Arthur and Kim M. (Milligan) Michaud; his grandmother Barbara Ball, DMin; siblings Adrienne Michaud, Yvette (Michael) Hershey, Esq., and Gabriel Michaud; nephew Baxter Hershey and niece Adaline Hershey; and aunts and uncles Mary (Richard) Goodpaster, Kathleen (Patrick) Havey, Jean (Chet) McDonough, and Frank Michaud.
