Betty Mae (McKitrick) Hanson, 97, of West Palm Beach, FL (formerly of Warwood, WV), passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at home.
She was born June 13, 1927 in McKinleyville, WV to the late Guy & Goldie (Taylor) McKitrick.
Betty was a member of Warwood Christian Church, the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Order of the Eastern Star, and of the Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Warwood High School.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson Hanson; her siblings, and a grandson.
Betty is survived by her children, Bonnie Darby of West Palm Beach, FL, Brenda Chessher of Boynton Beach, FL, and James Hanson of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grandchild.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 11am until the time of service at 1pm, at Kepner Funeral Home/Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave. Wheeling, WV (304-277-2722). Interment to follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery.
