Joseph William "Butch" Sandrick, 82, of Glen Dale, WV, passed away April 20, 2025 at his home.
He was born January 25, 1943 in Glen Dale, the son of the late William and Helen (Saliga) Sandrick.
Butch was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and retired from AEP after many years of service in the maintenance department. He was an avid bowler and played for many teams for over 50 years. Butch loved sports, especially any Pittsburgh pro team and the WVU Mountaineers.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Ann Sandrick.
Butch is survived by his daughter, Terri (Mark) Layton and two grandchildren, Sarah Layton (Zach Nutter) and Matthew Layton.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Glen Dale Volunteer Fire Department, his neighbors, Rusty and Tracy Wilcox, his best friends Denny and Cindy Hartlieb, his sister-in-law Barb Dorman and his Goddaughter, Erin Bowers, for all of the love and care and support over the years.
A celebration of life for Butch will be held Thursday, June 12, from 2-4 pm at St. Jude Parish Hall, 710 Jefferson Ave., Glen Dale, WV. The family asks to assist in celebrating Butch's to wear your best WVU or Pittsburgh sports colors.
