Bedway, Nancy Lynn Luke, 93, of Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, surrounded by her caregivers.
She was born October 17, 1931, in Adena, OH, daughter of the late George and Margaret Jackson Luke.
Nancy was a graduate of Adena High School and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was an excellent cook and homemaker, making holidays and events special for her large family. Nancy and Toni loved to go out dancing. In her later years, she enjoyed reading novels, doing puzzles, and relaxing to big band and jazz music. Nancy enjoyed the nature of her surroundings, especially the birds who visited her many feeders. She was also known as the "Cactus Whisperer." She had such a green thumb with her plants. She never missed an episode of her stories, "The Young and the Restless" and "As the World Turns."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthoni L. Bedway in 2012; son-in-law, Alger LaHood; grandson, Nathan Luke Bedway; and brother, George Luke Jr.

Together Again
Nancy is survived by her six children, Marquita Bedway of Chicago, IL, Nannette Bedway of Chicago, IL, Marianna (Kevin Hyde) Bedway of Fredericksburg, VA, Jonathan (Jessica) Bedway of Big Sky, MT, William (Bobbie) Bedway of St. Clairsville, OH, and Kirsten (Simeon Peebler) Bedway of Wilmette, IL; eleven grandchildren, Simone (David Vaynshteyn) LaHood, Gregory LaHood, Pierson (Sarah) Shields, Jaden (Tommy Keefe) Hyde, McLean (Karina Schorr) Hyde, Mary Katherine, Jacob & Isaac Bedway, Caitlin & James Bedway, and Luke Peebler; a great-grandson, Miles Keefe; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her family Nancy leaves behind her caretakers, Kathleen, Shandi, Debbie, Tiffany, Louise, Chrissy, Katrina and Kathleen.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes-Woodsdale, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV (304-232-2732) with Reverend Margie Carr officiating. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Colerain, OH.
