Sincerely, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teddy H. Parsons, who departed this life on June 12, 2025, in Moundsville, WV, at the age of 81.
Born on August 20, 1943, on Wayman's Ridge, Marshall County, Teddy lived a life marked by dedication to his family, work, and community.
Teddy's career was one of skilled craftsmanship and hard work. He was employed at Fostoria Glass and later retired as a welder from PPG, where he was known for his diligence and expertise.
A man of faith, Teddy was a former member of Ash Avenue Church of God and attended the Middle Grave Creek Church of God. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge Marshall Union #8 AF & AM., where he shared fellowship and camaraderie with his brothers, he was also a wood carver for the Stifel Fine Arts Center.
Music was a significant part of Teddy's life. He formed and sang in The Pathfinders Quartet, bringing the joy of Country Southern Gospel music to churches and fairs throughout the Ohio Valley, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Teddy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Judith Parsons; his parents, Eva (Ryan) Parsons and James O. Parsons; and his sisters, Gertrude "Ruth" Gassaway and Bernice McKimmie; and two sister-in-laws, Sue and Linda Parsons.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Beth (Mark) Baker of Moundsville; his brothers, Donald Parsons of Buckhannon, WV, Thomas "Everette "Parsons of Moundsville, and Kenneth Robert "Bobby" (Glenna) Parsons of Moundsville. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Ted (Peyton Bertram) Bratton of Glen Easton, WV, Ryan (Lindsey) Bratton of Proctor, WV, Kayla (Sloan) Geho of Glen Easton, and Joshua (Mari Truman) of St. Clairsville, OH; along with two great-grandsons, Halen Jett Bratton and Ryley Jameson Bratton and his little dog, Lizzy Rose.
A graveside service to honor Teddy's life will be held on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at 11am, at Riverview Cemetery in Moundsville. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects to a man who touched many lives with his kindness, talent, and unwavering spirit.
Teddy H. Parsons will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love, faith, and music will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he leaves behind., he will be greatly missed by all.
