DARLENE STEHNEY
Darlene Morrell Stehney, of New Martinsville, WV, died peacefully at home on February 2, 2025.
She was born June 27, 1939, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Carothers Morrell in Moundsville, WV. She was preceded in death by her brother Fredrick Joseph, and twin sister Arlene Morrell Dillon.
Surviving is her brother John (Rhonda) William Morrell, of Wheeling WV, son Bill (Kristy) Stehney of Wake Forest, NC, daughter Anne Richards of Victoria, MN and daughter Heather (Jeff) Brewington of Lenexa, KS.
Nicknamed “Dart” by her cherished grandchildren, she enjoyed sharing her love of reading with them: Emily (Zach) Lauren, Zachary Michael, Hannah Louise, Josephine Anne, Lillian Lee, Katy Anne and great grandson August Ambrose.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Martinsville Public Library
