KENNETH COOK SR.
Kenneth R. Cook, Sr., age 79, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born October 20, 1945 in Glen Dale, WV, the son of the late David Clyde and Ethel Leona Riggs Cook.
Ken was a retired truck driver with the Dandy Company; a member of the Knights of Pythias-Little Prince Lodge #79 in Moundsville and a member of the former Moundsville Eagles; he was a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two sons, James Gregory Cook and David Brian Cook, two brothers, David Lee Cook and Dean Cook, one sister, Shirley Younkins.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruth Winland Cook; a son, Kenneth R., Jr. (Lori Morgan) Cook of Moundsville; a sister, Sondra Kay Allman; nine grandchildren, KC, Joshua, Corey, Chantel, Shawnna, Danielle, Andy, Alex and Kate, 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Wilfong officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV.
