SHARON GWENNAP

“Together Again”

Sharon Elaine Gwennap, born on January 17, 1949, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at Liza’s Place – Valley Hospice Care Center South. She was 76 years old.

Throughout her life, Sharon was dedicated to her family and was known for her warmth, generosity and finding the good in everyone. She delighted in hosting fabulous family Christmas parties that gathered both immediate and extended family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by all who attended.

Her interests were varied and she found joy in collecting Longaberger Baskets, tending to her garden, and embarking on delightful day trips with her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Robert Gwennap, who preceded her in death. Her life was a testament to the love she shared with her family and the simple joys that filled her days.

In addition to her husband, Sharon was also preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Abednego Gwennap; her parents, Raymond and Helen (Sengewalt) Cooper; and her siblings, Mark Cooper and Carolyn Costain.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Beth Gwennap and Kimberly (Robert) Yocke, II; her cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Corey) McVeigh and Bobby (Hayley) Yocke, III; and her four great-grandchildren: Kolton, Kenzley, Kahleesi, and Kayden. Sharon’s legacy of love and devotion lives on through them, and she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
