David A. Smith, DC, a proud Air Force Veteran and an accomplished Chiropractor, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 at Liza's Place surrounded by his loving family.
David served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1963-1967 as an electronic specialist at Holloman Air Force Base/White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, bravely dedicating himself to his country. After his military service, David pursued higher education and completed his pre-medical studies at New Mexico State University and received his Doctorate Degree from Palmer State College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
He was dedicated to his practice and developed a successful career. David was a Chiropractor in St. Clairsville, OH and a member of The Ohio State Chiropractic Association, The Palmer Alumni Association and South Eastern Chiropractic Association.
He was a skilled videographer spending many hours filming and editing home videos. His favorite time was spent in technology troubleshooting and solving everyone's computer problems.
David was born on June 20, 1945 and was the third son of the late Clifford Alvin and Lillian Bellville Smith. He was a Protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin O. Smith and Dr. Charles W. Smith; and a sister, Carolyn Jean Welshan Klein.
David leaves behind his extended family, Kathi Kish of Powhatan Point, OH; Bill and Gaetana C. Davis of St. Clairsville, OH; Francesca G. Davis and Chris Montgomery; his special little family, Uriah and Amiyah Tedrow and Kalani Montgomery all of Bridgeport, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
David was very generous, always giving, and bringing laughter, love, and kindness to the lives he touched. He will be forever missed but always remembered for his exciting, happy, and creative spirit. May he rest in peace and in the arms of Our Lord.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Monogioudis officiating at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311). Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery where the Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
