James Vincent Maxwell, 75, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Moundsville Healthcare Center.
He was born May 25, 1950, in Wheeling, WV, to the late Calvin Sr. and Ida Mae (Bassell) Maxwell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Garrison Maxwell; his brother, Charles Maxwell; and brother-in-law, Clarence Farmer.
James is survived by his children, Kimberly (Joe) Stevey, James (Nicole) Maxwell, and Travis (Alyssa) Maxwell; his grandchildren, Breana (Travis) Davis, J.C. Maxwell, Logan Stevey, Chase Maxwell, Grey Maxwell; his great-grandchild, Ellie Davis; his brother, Calvin Jr. (Shirley) Maxwell; his sister, Charlotte Farmer; and sister-in-law, Diane Maxwell.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311). Service will be on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Debra Dague officiating. Entombment to follow at Park View Memorial Gardens.
