PARKER DOTY

Parker James Doty, "Jim," passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 18, 1943, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Lee and Mina Doty, along with siblings Tom, Barbara, Karen, and Bruce.

In Warwood High School, he met his bride of 45 years, Sandra Kay Bowman Doty, who preceded him in death.

Their children are Kim (Ryan) Greene, Scott (Annie) Doty, and Tammy (Paul) Kerila, and their children are Lindsey, Nicolette, Mitchell, Alexis, Sean, and Amanda.

Together, they owned and operated The Eye Gallery in McMurray, Pa. for many years, which still stands today. Jim enjoyed the constant parade of friends/ patients that came through the door each day. He was a friend to all, routinely going above and beyond to care for them. Generous to a fault, loved by all.

A true craftsman at heart, he could build or fix anything. He had a love for coffee, boating, and cookies. He was known as "Pap" to Randall, Madison, and Alyssa, the children of Danny (April) Beatty and Shelly (Colin) Saluja.

He received this nickname later in life by finding love again and is survived by Karen Beatty, his companion of many years. Their bond was a testament to the heart's ability to love fully again.
