PHYLLIS LINK

Phyllis Maggio Link died Monday, August 4, 2025, in Knoxville with her family by her side.

Mrs. Link dedicated her professional life to education and to the Catholic Church. She also enjoyed volunteering.

Mrs. Link was born in East Chicago, Ind., on August 23, 1948, to the late Rocco and Lena Maggio.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Julie Link of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Kris Frye, also of Knoxville; as well as grandchildren, Keaton and Jay Link.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Link, and brother, Rocco Maggio Jr.

Before settling in Knoxville, Tenn., she called Wheeling, W. Va., Mechanicsburg, Pa., Peachtree City, Ga., Meadville, Pa., and Carolina Beach, N.C., home.

She was a devout Catholic and served as a regular Eucharistic Minister and lecter at her home churches.

Her funeral will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 13 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph at 1300 Eoff St., Wheeling, WV with burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
