DeWITT TAYLOR
DeWitt C. Taylor, 88, resident of Wheeling, WV, died Friday, August 29, 2025 at Liza’s Place.
He was born on December 14, 1936 in Rome, NY, son of the late Archie Ball Taylor and Elmira Furney Taylor.
He worked as an operator with the city of Wheeling for 32 years. He was a Marine Corp. veteran, and a member of the Greggsville Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Hope Nickerson Taylor; grandson, Clinton Taylor; and one brother.
Surviving are his sons, Jeff (Ginger) Taylor and Robbie (Brittany) Taylor; daughter, Gail (Richard) Taylor; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brother, John Taylor; sister, Sally Lloyd; special friends, David and Jennifer Duymich and Karen Rogerson.
