Karen “Kay” Ward, age 87, of New Matamoras, OH, formerly of Sardis, OH, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital Wheeling, WV.
She was born June 10, 1938, in Sardis, OH, a daughter of the late Shirley L. and Ruth Miller Rosenlieb.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Living Water Baptist Church Sardis, OH and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 9930 Duffy, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Ward; grandson, Daniel Ward; brother, Shirley L. Rosenlieb and a sister, Viola Hissom Crawford.
Survivors include a son, David Ward of Sardis, OH and a daughter, Kayla Marie (Todd) Davis of New Matamoras, OH; and two special granddaughters, Piper Marie and Brielle Emmalynn Davis and grandson, Tripp Davis.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Living Water Baptist Church 37453 State Route 7 Sardis, OH, where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor James Ng officiating.
Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
