KATHI BUTLER

She was born on September 15, 1955, in Follansbee, WV, a daughter of the late Raymond and Lucy Ruth (Sox) Cross.

Kathi was a 1973 graduate of Brooke High School. She retired in 2013 as a cable splicer with Verizon after 32 years of dedicated service.

She had a lifelong love of bowling and proudly earned the High Woman Average for West Virginia, where she bowled a perfect 300 game. She was an active member of the Thursday and Sunday Night Mixed Doubles Bowling Leagues. Kathi also loved karaoke, where she enjoyed singing with friends. In addition, she enjoyed crafting and treasured time spent with her family making memories. She also had many close friends who were very dear to her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Holly Davis, at home; two brothers, Dennis (Karen) Cross and Raymond “Scott” (Sharon) Cross, both of Wellsburg, WV; one niece, Amy (Eric) Knelly of Venetia, PA; three nephews, Wesley Cross of Wellsburg, WV, and Scott and Kevin Cross of Pittsburgh, PA; one great-nephew, Antonio Cecchini of Wellsburg, WV; and her many dear friends.

Kathi will be remembered for her kind heart, her competitive spirit on the lanes, her joyful voice in song, and the happiness she brought to all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd from 4-7 PM and again on Wednesday October 3rd from 10:00 AM until time of her celebration of life at 11:00 AM at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main Street Follansbee, WV with words of remembrance by her family and friends.

Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV.
