RAYMOND KINNEY

He was born June 18, 1941 in Cameron, WV, a son of the late Claude and Frances (Dakon) Kinney. Perry was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1962-1966 on the USS Douglas H Fox DD – 779. Following his discharge from the Navy Perry began his career at Bayer Chemical, currently Covestro Chemical, and after serving many years he retired as a Chemical Operator.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret (Colvin) Kinney and a brother, Dale Roger Kinney.

Perry is survived by his two sons, Scott (Esta) Kinney and Todd Kinney; three siblings, Leon Kinney, Dave Kinney and Marie (George) Wilson; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Lorin) Kinney and Michael (Amanda) Kinney; three great-grandchildren, Reid, Elijah and Camden Kinney and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday, September 15, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again Tuesday, September 16 from 11 am until time of services at 12 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave. Interment and Military Honors will be held at Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the VFW Post 437, an organization that Perry truly believed in.
