MARY GARDNER

Born on February 22, 1948, in Center Point, WV, she was the beloved daughter of the late Vanzy Ellen Gaston and Creston H. Snodgrass.

Mary dedicated her life to her family and her work as a beautician and owner of a beauty shop, where she brought joy and confidence to many through her skilled hands and warm heart. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted member of the Apostolic Life Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frederick Eugene Gardner; her cherished son, Christopher Allan Gardner; her mother, Vanzy Ellen Gaston Snodgrass; her father, Creston H. Snodgrass; and her brother, Stephen A. Kennedy.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her son, Jeremiah Lee Gardner of Moundsville, WV; her grandson, Brandon Lane Gardner; her sister, Alice Sharon (Carl) Quinn of New Manchester, WV; her brother, Rodger (Linda) Kennedy of Nashville, TN; her step-brother, Shril Glen (Linda) Snodgrass; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, October 10, from 4-7 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel in Moundsville. A funeral service to honor Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, at 11 a.m. at the same location.
