MICHELE BOWMAN
Michele Eileen Bowman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in her hometown of Wheeling, WV. Born on June 10, 1947, Michele graced this world with her presence for 78 years.
Michele was born to Edward and Josephine Bruno in Wheeling, where she spent her entire life. She was a devoted homemaker who cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and laughter.
A faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Michele’s life was guided by her strong faith and commitment to her community. She was known for her kind heart and generous spirit.
Michele is preceded in death by her loving parents, Edward and Josephine Bruno, and her devoted husband, Robert Bowman. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Robert (Dr. Ella) Bowman of Portland, OR; Russell (Lindi) A. Bowman of Indianapolis, IN; and Richele (Eddie) Anderson of Wheeling, WV; and her grandchildren Peyton and Braxton Anderson. Michele is also survived by several special cousins and close friends at the Continuous Care Center, who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Michele’s life at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, reflecting Michele’s love for animals and her compassionate nature. Michele Eileen Bowman will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
