ROBERT FROHME

Robert William Frohme, 91, of Wheeling WV passed away on October 4, 2025 at the Continuous Care Center. He was born on April 14th 1934 in Wheeling WV, the son of the late Robert E. and Gladys V. (McElhaney) Frohme.
Bob was a graduate of Triadelphia High School, attended West Virginia University where he was a member of Phi Kapa Sigma fraternity and graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the College of Steubenville (Franciscan University). He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a tank commander.
In 1962 Bob married his Best Buddy, Dearest Friend, Confidant, and Travel Companion Mary Margaret Mayne. They have resided in the Wheeling area since the mid 1960’s and raised two children.
While retiring in 1984 from Imperial Glass as an Industrial Engineer, Bob remained active in the community as a member of Lawrencefield Parish Church, where he served several terms on the church vestry and was the churchyard chairman. He was a member of the Ohio Masonic Lodge #1(Nelson Lodge #30); the Scottish Rite Free Masonry; and the Osiris Shrine, where he was a member of the distinguished Legion of Honor, and a member of Miriam Chapter #1, Order of Eastern Star. His interests were Civil War history, classical music, travel, WVU/ Steelers football and watching his grand- children grow.
Not only does Bob leave behind his beloved wife Mary of 63 years, but also his two devoted children Lisa Martin (Shawn) of Colerain Ohio and Scott Frohme (Noreen) of Palm Harbor Florida, Grandchildren Sarah Frohme of Washington D.C. and Mason Frohme of Knoxville TN, Jason Martin of Wheeling, Sherry Martin of Pittsburgh Pa., and Kevin Martin of Bridgeport, OH, Great grandchildren Aston, Kiersyn and Scarlett; two Brothers in law, Paul and Clyde Mayne as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday October 9, 2025 from 4pm-7pm at Kepner Funeral Home 166 Kruger St. Wheeling WV, and services Friday October 10th at 11am at Lawrencefield Parish Church 44 Kirkside Dr. Wheeling WV.
