G. MICHAEL RAY
G. Michael Ray, 78, of Hundred, WV died peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 15, 2025 with his family by his side.
He was born April 6, 1947 in Fairmont, a son of the late George A. Ray and Willa Pauline Fox Ray.
Mike worked as a pipefitter. He was retired from Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 83, and a 50+ years member of the Littleton Lodge 131 AF & AM, of which he was a past Grand Master.
He coached at the elementary through high school levels for 40+ years, and finished his career with the Hundred High School girls’ basketball team. He influenced the lives of countless individuals throughout his coaching career. He directed the Mike Ray Basketball Camp for 20+ years.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela S. Ray, to whom he had been married for 32 years; children, Lisa (Scot) Goodnight, Michelle (Mike) Agnoni, and Myron (Kris) Ray; stepsons, Ryan (Leigh Ann) Curry, Jared (Angela) Curry and Joel (Erin) Curry; grandchildren, Logan, A. J., Mackenzie (David), Cori, Meghan, Monica, Cassidy, Tyler, Ava, Mason, Colin, and Bryn; brother, Calvin A. Ray; and several nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by his family, friends, his beloved circle of friends in Hundred, and many of those in the Ohio Valley basketball community.
Friends and family may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held in the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025, with Pastor Jason Sleeth officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson-Bethel Cemetery near Littleton.
