EARL DAVIS JR.

He was born on August 25, 1943, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Earl H. Davis, Sr. and Mary Lee Propst Davis.

Earl retired as a Police Officer at the Columbus Police Department after 17 years of service. He was a Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by brother, Danny Parsons; and sister, Florence Parsons.

Earl is survived by his two sisters, JoAnn Davis-Vandergrift and Pamela (Bill) Aleshire; two brothers, Harold “Hal” (Ruthann) Davis and David (Elaine) Parsons; five children, Vanessa Hammons, Holly Basil, Diana Davis, Erica Eppich and Bryan Davis; four stepchildren; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) with Reverend Margie Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Short Creek Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
