LUCAS HIGH
Lucas “Luke” Nathaniel High, 48, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Wednesday December 24, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born on July 2, 1977, in Wheeling, WV, the son of Philip and the late Joy Long High.
Luke graduated from the WVU Business School and worked in the office of Dr. Philip High and Dr. Alex High.
He had a true passion for the WVU Mountaineers and could always be counted on to cheer them on with pride.
Jami, Tay, and family were the most important to him. In addition to his mother Joy, Luke was preceded in death by a sister Lindsey High Scott.
Luke is survived by his father, Dr. Philip High and Jo of Wheeling, WV; fiancee Jami Taylor of Wheeling, WV; two brothers, Jeremy (Holly) High of Morgantown, WV and Alex (Lauren) High of Wheeling,WV; brother-in-law Steve Scott, Aunt Kristi Long of Ocean City, MD; niece Addison High, nephews, Cooper, Braxton, and Cohen High and his dog Tay.
Friends will be received on Saturday December 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV, (304-232-2732) with Reverend Margie Carr officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling, 1610 Eoff St, Wheeling, WV 26003 in memory of Lindsey High Scott.
