MARY LEE MAY
Mary Lee (White) May, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in New Martinsville, WV, at the age of 81. Born on February 18, 1944, in Glen Dale, WV, she lived a life marked by dedication and warmth.
Mary was a retired cook, known for her skill and care in the kitchen, where she touched the lives of many with her culinary talents. Her legacy is one of love and kindness, remembered fondly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. May Sr.; her mother, Mary Margaret White; her father, Arthur White; her stepdaughter, Doran McGiverin; and her favorite little dog, Sophie.
Mary is survived by a loving family who will cherish her memory: her stepsons, Herbert (Mary) May Jr., Michael (Tammy) May, and Andy (Kelli) May; her stepdaughters, Mary Ellis and Patty (Rick) Rhodes; her sisters, Carol Ann Howard, Donna Jean Lucas, Dorothy Jane Phillips, and Nicola White, her grandchildren, Nick (Charity) May, Anna Lautz, Ricky (Ashley) Rhodes, Alexis Williams, Lauren (Jake) Folle, Cody Ellis, and Jennifer (Dan) Maas-Day; her great-grandchildren, Parker May, Hudson May, Elijah Rhodes, and Raleigh Rhodes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th St. Bellaire, OH. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
