Beatrice Lee Van Horne Noll, 90, passed away on January 11, 2026, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born August 27, 1935, in Neffs, Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice (McFadden) Van Horne.
Beatrice dedicated her professional life to supporting others in various capacities. She retired as an accomplished office manager with Johnson & Johnson and once served diligently as Assistant to the Nursing Director at Wheeling Hospital. Her career also included a meaningful role at Oglebay, where her dedication was felt by many.
Her passions extended beyond her professional endeavors. She found joy in crafting, drawing, and painting, and she was known for her beautiful creations. Bea enjoyed playing Bingo and other activities with her friends at Beacon House. She was very active and loved life even at the end. She was always such a positive force and never met a person she couldn’t call a friend. Her deep faith guided her life, and she was committed to practicing and sharing the word of God on Sundays with the community at Beacon House. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and a life-long supporter of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Richard Noll, Beatrice’s heart remained full with cherished memories of their life together until his passing in 2018. She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl (Andrew Methven) Noll of Leland, North Carolina, and Richard D. (Karen) Noll of Wheeling, West Virginia. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Williams, Zachary Noll, Elenor (Molly) Methven, Joshua (Kara) Methven, Jeremiah (Betsy) Methven, and her seven great-grandchil-dren. She also leaves behind her brother, Jack Van Horne, niece, Jodi (Mark) Mitchell, and many dear friends.
Family and friends are to be received at Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists 204 W. Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 3:00pm until time of service at 5:00pm with Reverend Richard Skaggs as celebrant.
Beatrice’s enduring spirit, selfless nature, and unwavering faith have left a mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and eternally remembered by her family, friends, and the communities she touched.
