Dolores Jean “Dee” Iman McCormick, age 72, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 6, 1953, in Cumberland, Maryland, Dee was the beloved daughter of the late William “Bill” Edward Iman, Sr. and Mabel Leona (Rader) Iman. She was raised in Keyser, West Virginia, where she developed the strong faith, work ethic, and compassion that would define her life.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Dee dedicated much of her professional life to public service. She worked in county government in Grant and Pendleton Counties for more than 13 years and devoted 12 years to economic development with RED in Ohio County. In total, she proudly gave 46 years of her life to working, serving, and supporting her community–always with integrity, humility, and genuine care for others.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Rader, Paul Rader, Sr., Charles Richard Rader, and William Edward Iman, Jr.; and her sister, Nancy Jane Rader. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Timmy McCormick, of Wheeling, West Virginia; her daughter, Jennifer Lynn McDaniel, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Breanne Taylor and her spouse, Lucas, of Keyser, West Virginia; her cherished granddaughter, Mattelyn Grace McDaniel; her grandson, Brayden Kingsley McDaniel; her step-grandsons, Braxton Elijah Taylor and Bowen Christian Taylor; and her brother, Samuel Iman.
Above all else, Dee was a devoted wife, mother, and Grammie who had a deep and abiding love for children. She was sweet, kind, loving, and endlessly thoughtful– someone who listened deeply, loved fiercely, and always put family first.
Her warmth, gentle spirit, and nurturing heart touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the family she so dearly adored.
