FRANCIS MISCH
Francis “Eugene” Misch, 92, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on August 9, 1933, in Wellsburg, he was a son of the late John F. and Clara F. (Price) Misch. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his beloved wife of many years, Agnes Louise (Loughery) Misch; his sister, Donna Lauck; and his brothers, John H. Misch and Ronald Dean Misch.
Gene was a proud graduate of Wellsburg High School, Class of 1951, and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Bethany Pike Church of God and a longtime member of Wellsburg Moose Lodge 1564.
Above all else, Gene was a devoted father and family man. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, and few things made him happier than cheering from the sidelines. Known for rarely missing a game, Gene and his trusted “sidekick,” Kerry, could be found traveling throughout the Ohio Valley to support their favorite teams. His presence, encouragement, and steady support left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Gene is survived by his loving children: Eugene Thomas Misch and Terry Sue (Tom) Goff, both of Wellsburg, WV; Kevin Lee (Paula) Misch of Las Vegas, NV; Marla Louise Misch of Bradenton, FL; and Kerry Misch of Paden City, WV. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Misch of Wellsburg, WV; his two sisters-in-law, Glennis Misch and Jeanne Link; five grandchildren, Amiee (Brandon) Pendleton, Jamie Goff, Gabriel (Shannon) Clymer, Ella Jennings, and Patrick Elliott; two great-grandchildren, Brock, and Abbey; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor James Seabright officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main Street, Follansbee, WV.
Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
