JERRY KOPYAR

He was employed by Doors Unlimited.

He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Amy McClelland; his sister, Jelena Usenick; his father, William Kopyar; and his brother-in-law, Bob Jeffries.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, Arlene Kopyar, is his loving wife of 30 years, Cynthia Kopyar; his children, Christopher Kopyar of California, Amy (Tom) Cole of Columbus, Ohio, and Dylan (Jennifer) Usenick of Clarksville, Tennessee; and his three grandsons, Braxton Hinebaugh, Aydan Usenick, and Karson Usenick. He absolutely loved his grandsons with all of his heart.

Also surviving are his siblings: Betty Rose (Floyd) Shuttleworth, Judy Lynn McMillan (Ed), Julie (Rich) Daley, Billie Jo DeFelice, Florian (Maggie) Kopyar, and Jennifer Jeffries; his father-in-law, Denny Cook; his mother-in-law, Beverly Cook; his sisters-in-law, Denise (Jim) Dahl and Mindy Cook; his brother-in-law, Dennis Cook; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jerry was a longtime volunteer at Jamboree in the Hills for the St. C Athletic Boosters. He also loved volunteering at the annual H2h Hillraiser Endurance Challenge.

He was actively involved in the Elm Grove Eagles AERIE 1891, where he was a beloved member, trustee, and state officer.

Jerry was a die-hard Steelers fan. He loved going to his grandson, Braxton’s, soccer games, and sitting on his front porch having a beer with his wife.

He was loved and adored by so many. His kind eyes, warm heart, and sweet smile will be deeply missed.

Friends received Friday January 30, 2026, 12noon-3 pm. and 5-7 pm at Grisell Funeral Home, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Wheeling/ Bethlehem.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 10am.
