JOYCE WOODS
Joyce Ann (Majewski) Woods, 79, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at WVU Medicine-Wheeling Hospital. Joyce was born on July 8, 1946, in Glen Dale, WV, the daughter of Charles Majewski, Sr., and Estella (Stankiewicz) Majewski.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Roy Roger Woods; brothers Charles Majewski, Jr., Edward Majewski, and Ted Majewski; and daughter Elaine Crane.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Lisa Jo (Ron) Wood of Moundsville, WV; son Roy Roger (Jennifer) Woods, Jr., of Cameron, WV; and sister Geraldine Skvarka of Moundsville, WV; as well as her grandchildren Ashley Annette Crane, Elizabeth Erin Smith, Stasha Marie Woods, Emily Noel Wood, Mikalah Jade Woods, Macie Jo Woods, William Carroll, and Bailey Nathaniel Arms; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce enjoyed playing games with her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand children, and lunches with her longtime friends Linda Aston and Barb Whitlach. She will be remembered for her love of karaoke, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Bingo.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 22, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and then again on Friday, January 23 from 12:00 pm until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm all at the CARE Funeral and Cremation Services Moundsville Chapel, 1500 Second St. Procession to Riverview Cemetery, Joyce’s final resting place, will directly follow.
